community infrastructure levy
How can we ensure, that when land is developed, it comes with the necessary infrastructure (e.g. public transport, new or safer road schemes, cycling schemes, park improvements, a new community hall etc)?
The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a new charge that we can impose on new developments in Broadland. The money will be used to support development by funding infrastructure that the Council, the local community and neighbourhoods want.
The three councils of Broadland, Norwich and South Norfolk are working together as the Greater Norwich Development Partnership (GNDP) to adopt a co-ordinated approach to implementing CIL. All areas of Broadland (excluding the Broads Area), as well as Norwich city and South Norfolk are affected.
