The Planning Department offer the following services:

To determine planning and related applications from developers and members of the public and subsequently to defend planning decisions taken by the Council if taken to appeal
To provide free professional planning advice to prospective developers and members of the public, for example explaining process/timescale and permitted development rights within the local planning framework
To investigate breaches of planning controls and take enforcement action if necessary
